Carlos A. Ferrer co-founded FFC in 1995. Over the past 18 years, FFC has invested in 36 healthcare companies and Carlos has been an active Board member in over half of them. Prior to FFC, he was a Managing Director at CS First Boston from 1989 through 1995, responsible for the firm’s investment banking activities in the healthcare industry. He joined the Investment Banking Department at CS First Boston in 1978 and, beginning in 1982, started and developed CS First Boston’s investment banking activities in the healthcare industry. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of AgaMatrix, Inc., Arcadia Healthcare Solutions, LLC, Ardent Health Services, LLC, K2M, Inc., and Medical Depot, Inc. He holds a B.A. degree from Princeton University.
David A. Freeman co-founded FFC in 1995. Prior to FFC, he was a Managing Director at JP Morgan with responsibilities in Global Healthcare Investment Banking and substantial responsibility for JP Morgan’s Private Equity investment activity in the healthcare industry. He previously held various management and corporate finance positions at JP Morgan. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Arcadia Healthcare Solutions, LLC and Biotix Group Holdings, Inc. and Reliant Renal Care, Inc. David holds a B.A. degree from Washington & Lee University.
Theodore B. Lundberg joined FFC in 2000. He previously worked as a financial analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette (“DLJ”) from 1997 to 2000 with responsibilities in Healthcare Investment Banking. He is a member of the Board of Directors of AeroCare Holdings, Inc., Ancillary Advantage, Inc., Arcadia Healthcare Solutions, LLC, and IC Axon, Inc., and is a Board Observer at AgaMatrix, Inc. and K2M, Inc. Ted holds a B.A. degree from Princeton University.
Justin Yang joined FFC in 2006. Prior to FFC, he was a Financial Analyst at UBS Investment Bank from 2004 to 2006 with responsibilities in Healthcare Investment Banking. He is member of the Board of Directors of Medical Depot, Inc. and a Board Observer of Reliant Renal Care, Inc. Justin holds a B.A. degree from Cornell University.
Michael B. O’Rourke joined FFC in 2012. Prior to FFC, he was a Financial Analyst and Associate at CIT Group, Inc. from 2007 to 2012 with responsibilities in Healthcare Investment Banking. Michael holds a B.S. degree from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce.
Nicole Sansone is the Chief Financial Officer at Ferrer Freeman & Company, LLC. Prior to joining FFC in 2005, she was a Senior Fund Accountant at Bessemer Venture Partners and a Senior Auditor at Deloitte & Touche LLP. Ms. Sansone is a CPA and holds a B.B.A. and an M.B.A. in Accounting from Pace University.
The current GP Advisory Board consists of active and retired healthcare executives representing each major category of the industry as well as executives from government, healthcare venture capital and healthcare public securities investing. The GP advisory Board provides FFC with strategic guidance on the investment strategy as well as access to deal flow and due diligence perspectives on prospective investments.
