Jim is a Partner of Domain Associates, a venture capital firm. He is an advisor to the Department of Molecular Biology at Princeton University and an advisor to the Department of Bio-Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. Jim serves on the Board of Directors of the Prostate Cancer Foundation, Novacea, Inc., NuVasive, Inc., Pharmion, Inc., Volcano, Inc., and various private companies.

Joseph L. Dowling III, Private Investor, Owner of Risdon International
Joe is a private investor.  Currently, he is the owner of Risdon International, a specialty packaging company with approximately $100 million in sales which was purchased from Crown Cork and Seal in a LBO with Wells Fargo in late 2006.  Prior to Risdon, from 1998 to 2006, Joe was the founder and Managing Member of Narragansett Asset Management, LLC, an investment firm which had a large allocation in the healthcare and life science areas.  Joe received a B.A from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

W. Bruce Lunsford, Lunsford Capital, LLC
Bruce is Chairman and CEO of Lunsford Capital, LLC, a private investment company in Louisville, KY. He is also the Chairman and CEO of Valor Healthcare, Inc., a company that develops and operates outpatient clinics for the Department of Veterans Affairs. He is the founder, former Chairman and CEO of Ventas, Inc., a NY Stock Exchange healthcare real estate investment company (REIT), the founder, former Chairman, President and CEO of Vencor, Inc., now known as Kindred Healthcare, and the founder and former Chairman of Atria Communities Inc., the third largest assisted living company in the U.S. Bruce formerly served on the Board of Directors of Churchill Downs Incorporated, National City Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio and ResCare, Inc. He presently serves on the Board of Directors of AeroCare Holdings, Inc., Deyta, Inc., and PetsFirst, LLC.


Jeffrey L. McWaters, Founder and Chairman, AMERIGROUP Corporation
Founder and Chairman AMERIGROUP Corporation, with over 25 years of Managed Healthcare experience, Jeff served the Company's Chief Executive Officer from its founding until his retirement from the position on August 31, 2007.  Jeff also served as President and CEO for Options Mental Health (now ValueOptions) and held senior executive positions with CIGNA Healthcare and EQUICOR. He serves on the Board of Directors of AHIP (Americas Health Insurance Plans) and on the Publicly Listed Companies Advisory Board of the New York Stock

Exchange. AMERIGROUP Corporation is a former FFC Portfolio Company.

Leslie V. Norwalk, Esq.

Leslie is Strategic Counsel to Epstein Becker & Green, P.C. and EBG Advisors. She is also a principal in Norwalk & Associates. Leslie served the Bush Administration as the Acting Administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). She managed the day-to-day operations of Medicare, Medicaid, State Child Health Insurance Programs, Survey and Certification of health care facilities and other federal health care initiatives. Prior to that, she served as the agency's Deputy Administrator for four years. In that role she directed the complex and demanding task of implementing the hundreds of changes to be made under the Medicare Modernization Act, including the Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit. Prior to serving the Bush Administration, she practiced law in the Washington, D.C. office of Epstein Becker & Green, P.C. where she advised clients on a variety of health policy matters. She also served in the first Bush administration in the White House Office of Presidential Personnel. Leslie, a native of Dayton, OH, earned a juris doctor degree from the George Mason University School of Law, where she was a Dean's Scholar and an editor of the George Mason Law Review. She earned a bachelor's degree, cum laude, in economics and international relations from Wellesley College.

John Onopchenko, Synergy Life Science Partners, LLC
John is a founding General Partner of Synergy Life Science Partners, a venture capital firm. Previously, John was Vice President at Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation (JJDC), Johnson & Johnson's venture capital subsidiary. John served on the JJDC Board and was the firm's lead medical device investor supporting each of the seven global device and diagnostics businesses of Johnson & Johnson. John currently serves on the Board of Directors of Corthera, Inc. (BAS Medical), GI Dynamics, Inc., InnerPulse, Inc., Oraya Therapeutics, Inc., Orqis Medical Corporation, Symphony Medical, Inc. , Synecor, LLC, TransEnterix, Inc. and USGI Medical, Inc.

Uwe E. Reinhardt, Ph.D., James Madison Professor of Political Economy; Professor of Economics and Public Affairs
Recognized as one of the nation's leading authorities on health care economics, Reinhardt has been a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences since 1978. He is a past president of the Association of Health Services Research. From 1986 to 1995 he served as a commissioner on the Physician Payment Review Committee, established in 1986 by Congress to advise it on issues related to the payment of physicians. He is a senior associate of the Judge Institute for Management of Cambridge University, UK, and a trustee of Duke University, and the Duke University Health System. Reinhardt is or was a member of numerous editorial boards, among them the Journal of Health Economics, the Milbank Memorial Quarterly, Health Affairs, the New England Journal of Medicine, and the Journal of the American Medical Association. He holds a Ph.D. from Yale University.


Timothy M. Ring, Chairman and CEO, C.R. Bard, Inc.
Tim joined Bard in June 1992 as Corporate VP – Human Resources and was given additional responsibility for Interventional Cardiology and Electrophysiology. In January 1997, he assumed additional responsibility for the Cardiac Assist and Cardiopulmonary divisions, and in April 1997 was promoted to Group President for Coronary Vascular Products. In 1999, he was named Group President for Bard Electrophysiology and Peripheral Vascular Products and in 2002 was given additional responsibility for Bard Access Systems, Bard Europe, and Corporate Healthcare Services.  Tim was promoted to Chairman and CEO in August 2003.

Patrick T. Ryan, former President and Chief Executive Officer of PolyMedica Corporation
Pat, since the sale of PolyMedica to Medco Health Solutions in October of 2007, is currently working through the transition period with Medco Health Solutions as a consultant. He has been in the healthcare field since 1980, with specific experience in operations, strategic development, service, sales and finance. Prior to the sale, Mr. Ryan served as Chief Executive Officer and a Director of PolyMedica Corporation, the nation’s largest direct-to-consumer provider of blood glucose testing supplies and related services to people with diabetes, serving more than 1,000,000 active patients. Previously, Pat served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Physicians Dialysis, Inc. (an FFC portfolio company). From the Company’s inception in 2000, Pat led Physicians Dialysis, Inc. through several rounds of financing and created a nationwide network of 24 dialysis clinics. Physicians Dialysis was the nation’s sixth largest dialysis provider when it was acquired in September 2004 by DaVita Inc. Prior roles include CEO of Principalcare, Inc. and ImageAmerica, Inc. Pat serves on the boards of Affiliated Managers Group, Inc., (NYSE: AMG) and Hillenbrand Industries, (NYSE: HB). He is also active in the non-profit community, serving on the Northeast Health Foundation board of trustees and the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center board of directors. Pat holds a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Rochester.

Anthony H. Wild, Ph.D, General Partner, BOWS Pharmaceuticals AG
Tony's most recent venture, of which his is a founder and General Partner, is BOWS Pharmaceuticals AG, a Swiss protein-delivery technology start-up company.  Prior to this, he was a Founder (in 2001), Chairman and first CEO of MedPointe Pharmaceuticals Inc. (an FFC portfolio company) which was successfully divested in August 2007. Earlier in his career he held various senior management positions at Schering-Plough and then Warner Lambert. Current board positions include Millennium Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Cambridge) and Fovea S.A. (Paris).  Tony is the Chairman of the FFC Advisory Board.
